Simon is Director of Product Management for Cybersecurity at Hortonworks, where he works on Apache Metron, a next generation Security Analytics Platform. Over the last few years he has been helping a wide range of customers make the best use of innovative data technologies like Spark, NiFi, Hadoop and all the animals in the zoo. Before all that he's done data related things in Finance, Retail and others. He vaguely remembers being a web developer once, which tends to manifest these days as a love of visualisation.
